1: Standing Firm: Jupiter Enters Leo
Do you feel the need to do something bold and energetic regardless of the kickback? Could it be the growing pains of Jupiter still in watery Cancer but knowing it is soon moving into a fiery Leo? On June 30th Jupiter shifts into Leo, a fixed fire sign. This might bring welcome relief towards a more inspired state of being, majestic and with clearer alignment to your meaning and purpose in life? They say the what can be borne easily as long as there is a why. Jupiter offers that level of meaning. He stays in Leo until July 26th 2027 so we have a whole year to experience the zest of Zeus.
Jupiter in Leo may have the effect of a lighthouse guiding us across the stormy seas. It can shine a spotlight on to hidden reserves of courage and energy to pour into your creative projects. It may also create a bit of drama here and there where previously life had become dull. It must be used with care however- as it is like a magnifying glass. You can enlarge the view making it clear, but under the sunlight, it can also burn a hole in what you are looking at and start a fire. One more reason to be mindful what you focus on.
It is sometimes easy to get carried away by the optimism of Jupiter. We tend to think of it is lucky and it certainly is for Sagittarians ruled by Jupiter and Pisceans for whom it is the ancient ruler, and even for Aries to an extent as a fellow fire sign- it activates the Aries-Leo-Sagittarius fire trine energy. For Sagittarians however, it’s their planet, so it switches on the green light for any major study projects or travel, or immersion in foreign cultures. But they still need to keep hold the reins William Blake said ‘the road of excess leads to the Palace of Wisdom’ which may well be true, but it can also lead to the bankruptcy courts.
Keep an eye on the good and bad sides to this expansive planet. You can take advantage but also be wary at the same time. He is both irrepressible and irascible and can turn on a dime with his shape shifting qualities. Jupiter’s luck can be immensely beneficial, but it can also have a flipside as fortune and fate go hand in hand. Sometimes you have to work hard to benefit from fortunate circumstances. If you let indolence take over, you may miss the mark.
Jupiter expands anything it touches regardless of the morality, so if you are embedded in a situation where your hands are tied, the knots may get tighter. You can become even more entrenched. If you have a complicated life, it could become even more complicated. Similarly when you are on the crest of wave of positives, it can keep on rolling. Drill into the areas of life you wish to increase. That would be love, creativity and children and especially anything that makes life more meaningful to you, Jupiter enhances purposeful activities and if it can entertain people on the way, then all the better. Those areas of life will – expand with Jupiter’s help.
Alongside Jupiter, think also of the Sun, the ruler of Leo. It is the supreme force of life without which we cannot survive or grow. There is a reason we feel good when the Sun comes out. Some even think there is much more to it than that; the Sun is a living breathing being and not just some light switch in the sky. Gregory Sam’s book ‘Son of gOd: Discovery the Self Organising Consciousness that Underlies Everything” says that the Sun represents consciousness and stands for light, potency and a pure form of regenerative power. This light from the core now radiates through power of Jupiter. That is great news; it radiates blessings and abundance, magnifying the power of the Sun, but the tendency might be to overdo it and become grandiose.
Leo is a fixed fire sign so it is challenged to change when it needs to even if it has all the inspiration. Flexibility is needed is important here and if you call on Uranus in Gemini, you may be able to cleverly think your way out of it. And even when Jupiter opposes Pluto, it also sextiles Uranus offering a new type of solution with some original thinking.
Jupiter has a 12- year cycle which aligns to the Chinese astrological system that cycles 12 animal archetypes. There is no Lion in the 12 animal sequence but there is a Tiger. The last time Jupiter was in Leo in 2014-2015 so we may get echoes of what was happening at that time and of the previous time from 2002-3 .So think back to what you were doing to clues as to what might happen for you this this time around.

Bear in mind we are still in the year of the Fire Horse so this only fans the flames of the fire with Jupiter in a prideful fire sign. It might bring a whole heap of drama to the stage. But that could burn out just as easily as it starts leaving a few charcoal ruins.
Jupiter is not just a vector of opportunities that lead to self-growth and personal evolution, but also to your wealth and good fortune, especially if it is conjunct, sextile or trine to Pluto. Straight away in July it opposes Pluto so there may be massive gain or loss of money around that time, or a change in the monetary system.
If ever there was a time to invest in gold which is associated with Leo, it is during this time. What link has Jupiter to this primary symbol of Leo? Jupiter is not normally the planet of gold. His metal is Tin. However, in the mythology, Jupiter could morph and take on a variety of guises. Jupiter can be golden too and scatter material wealth here and there. He has that power and used it whenever he wanted.

Jupiter or Zeus appeared to Danaë as a shower of gold to impregnate her. The story goes that when Danaë’s father Acrisius consulted the Delphic oracle, it declared that she would give birth to a grandson who would kill him. So, Acrisius confined Danaë to a subterranean dungeon cell to stop all suitors from approaching. But Jupiter/Zeus rather fancied Danaë and formed a cunning plan to appear to her privately as a shower of gold. He impregnated her and she begat a son called Perseus who was unaware his father was Jupiter. Perseus eventually accidentally killed his grandfather in a discuss throwing event, thereby fulfilling the oracle’s prophecy.
Jupiter spotlights all the opportunities that exist. They can pop up out of nowhere, some of which may even appear as a crisis, and then morph, so be on the alert. Uranus runs a flashpoint analysis of these sudden events. Uranus in Gemini can lead to a feeling overwhelm with information coming in all directions and there’s a need for the mass of information coming at us to be processed fully. Yet it is Uranus working with your individual Mercury placement that can give us the added discernment of which opportunities to focus on and how to get the most out of them. Mercury enters Leo on August 9th just before the Solar Eclipse.
2: All the World’s a Stage
The famous saying that ‘All the world’s a stage’ applies so well to Jupiter in Leo- we have the ‘theatre of war’ and of ‘politics’ and still people have difficulty distinguishing between the public role people play and the real person underneath. Jung called the public role the ‘persona’ and he would say it is okay to be able to switch from one persona to another like characters on a stage changing costumes. Jung himself was a Leo sun sign but with Jupiter in Libra. The Persona can be likened to a mask. The danger is to allow that mask to take over and damage your soul.
While Jupiter is in Leo would be a good time to go to the theatre – especially to the most opulent forms of theatre such as an Opera -anything on a epic scale. The theatre helps you to understand that the ‘stage’ is a microcosm of the world and one day the curtain will come down on your life too. The word ‘stage’ is multivalent so it can apply to progress to a new stage in life too.
Here are some of the most important themes of Jupiter in Leo. They all may come up in one form or another as potentials. On the positive side the Jupiter in Leo period could increase Inspiration, Performance, Creativity, Sovereignty, Self Expression, Higher Learning, Fun, Fatherhood, Big Thinking, Shining your Light, Loyalty, Heroic Gestures, Broad mindedness and Heart Centeredness but on the negative or ‘shadow’ side of Jupiter in a fire sign you could also generate more Grandiosity, Hedonism, Egoism, Exaggeration and Overindulgence.
There is also a sense in which Jupiter is the eternal youth, the ‘puer aeternus’ type who can never really grow up and wants to have as much fun as possible avoiding responsibility. Alongside that is the absent father syndrome so he’s anything if not a complex figure.
We might also think of Leo as the archetype of the King, or Queen which resides in all of us, and in the fairytales life may suddenly ask us to assume that role small scale in our lives. We do have prominent examples well known in the media. I am not one to discuss Royals very much. However, with Jupiter coming into Leo this June, I’m getting out my popcorn to see what happens. So I’ll be on the lookout for what is in store for King Charles III and Queen Camilla during this time as they both have Pluto in Leo.

When Jupiter comes along it makes all in its path bigger and brighter which could indeed blow up a scandal or two as it squares his Mercury in Scorpio. Some find King Charles a slow-burn for achievement – he’s been waiting in the wings for decades but is beginning to prove himself worthy of the people. But others say he is the mouthpiece of the Globalists of the WEF and Davos think-tanks spouting the same old agenda crippling to the people. Posterity will decide.
For King Charles III Leo squares Scorpio so Jupiter will be squaring all of King Charles’s planets there: in the early part of the ingress his South Node and Mercury, and later on his Sun and Chiron. Note that Charles has Jupiter in Sagittarius which is lucky but at that very difficult degree 29° which is not so much.
Jupiter be conjuncting his natal Pluto at 16° of Leo from 13th-17th September, bringing about transformative and creative energy. But it may also provoke his personal views which can be eccentric into the news via some crisis or other. Jupiter is square to his Mercury from July 31st to 1st August and that may be a scandal in the making. He is rarely out of the limelight but the light may shine on his behaviours even brighter and in sharper contrast.
Jupiter in Leo can apply to any King: so turning our attention towards Asia, King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand is a good example of someone who could be affected very much by Jupiter in Leo He was born a Leo, on July 28th, 1952.
Soon after Jupiter enters Leo, it conjuncts his natal Sun at 5 from July 24th 27th. Then Jupiter conjuncts his Venus at 14° of Leo from 3rd September to the 7th. It then conjuncts his natal Pluto at 20° flooding him with creative energy. This is also on his South Node which can bring fated events. And then also Jupiter conjuncts his Mercury at 27° of Leo. This is is on the exact degree where Jupiter stations retrograde- it is there from December 10th to the 15th, doubly intensifying the big story that needs reviewing there. Not only that it goes back over his Pluto degree on 23rd February and again on June 1st 2027 So we may see some news about the King more than once during these next few months.
3: Coming and Going: The Ingress Chart and the Retrograde
There is a full moon in Capricorn just before and then Jupiter goes into Leo. A moon there always needs as much support as it can get so there may be a struggle to feel satisfied.

Once Jupiter arrives in Leo in the early hours of June 30th, it is active on the Ascendant which can often denote fame. It arrives with Mercury close behind which could bring big news of something hidden out on to the world stage. Jupiter is sextile to Mars in Gemini adding force to all those messages. Jupiter is trine to Neptune echoing all the changes that have emerged since Neptune arrived in Aries back in February. However, the fixed power dynamic can become massively intensified as it is opposite Pluto in Aquarius.
It is nice to have Venus in Leo at the same time as Jupiter though echoing back to their conjunction on June 9th. Venus is the perfect companion for Jupiter as two positive planets in the sign ruled by the Sun is good for all of us, lightens the mood, but is especially good for the performers who want to show what they are made of and be appreciated for it.
The Moon here is still in Capricorn landing in the 6th house. That means feelings can be clouded or embedded in our daily routines may receive a boost, as modest modes of service however repetitive can become the way forward as we pay attention to co-workers and pets more than usual. Career prospects may be harder to achieve but gain more lasting success with Saturn in the Tenth. Yet for all we put out on the stage, or guiding light is still somewhat hidden somehow. Relationships of all kinds may be set for intense self mirroring and allow us to change behaviours as needed for each person that comes along.
There are a few important aspects Jupiter forms as it transits the sign of Leo.
When Jupiter conjuncts the Sun on July 29th the light could be almost unbearably bright. Opportunity is the air on this day and that comes in many forms, so be on the lookout. This could radiate love and light for all to enjoy. But this could also be a call to the soul intelligence that seeks divine love of Eros as it conjuncts asteroid Psyche- that is exact in the early hours of July 30th. Eros, Psyche’s eternal partner, is at 19° Libra ruled by his mother Venus. Psyche aligns with the South Node connecting to the karmic past on 27th September. The Jupiter Sun conjunction aligns to the Full Moon in Aquarius on the same day- so the emphasis is even more on radiant intelligence.
- Venus moves on into Leo on 14th June and leaves on 10th July. She is at 22° of Leo when Jupiter arrives on June 30th.
- Mercury goes on its regular Retrograde at the end of June while still in Cancer. it goes direct on July 26th. Mercury only enters Leo on August 9th just before the Total Solar Eclipse on August 12th.
- Mars does not get to Leo until 28th September and so will end up connecting with Jupiter and that could be highly energised. when?
- The South Node also enters Leo on July 26th. It stays there until March 26 2028.
- The Total Eclipse of August 12th will actually be visible all across the UK, as it moves across Greenland and the West Coast of Ireland. But it is only partial as the Moon will cover only 90% of the Sun. Hopefully, that will be on an uncloudy day and the spectacle can be witnessed. It starts just after 7pm so in order to see it, you’ll need an unobstructed view as it will be very low on the horizon.
On July 26th the Nodes of the Moon also shift out of Pisces-Virgo into the fixed signs of Aquarius-Leo. This will be the axis of focus for the next 18 months. Aquarius in fact becomes centre stage pointing us in the direction of Aquarian themes of how it can be difficult to relate to others in groups and still retain any sense of your individuality.
Leo then becomes host to the South Node. This highlights the shadow side of Aquarius where the North Node is crossing. The South Node reignites all the unfinished business that we have shelved up to now.
And Jupiter will be connecting with the South Node and thus opposing the North Node. Jupiter actually conjoins the South Node from February 19th– to the 25th 2027. It does the same again on April 20th at 17 °only this time it creates a mystic rectangle in the chart between the Moon in Libra and Saturn in Aries and the Nodal axis. So some positive energies are locked in to that configuration.
Jupiter goes retrograde on December 14th This is usual but be aware that Jupiter can pull back on all the growth achieved till that point. Sew your seeds before that happens and then wait until after it goes direct again to observe the fruits. Jupiter reaches almost to the end of Leo to 27° then retrogrades all the way back to 17° of Leo, back through the whole big-picture story. There could be some delays to any plans during this time or a repeat of the story as it hits those ten degree points a second and third time to drill in the lesson or drama, whatever that might be. Check your natal charts to see if you have any planets on these opposing or squaring these degrees to see where it might affect you. The story won’t be fully over until it’s over.
So take note of any planets you have at any of these degrees in Leo in your chart and which house this is in as there could be a ‘revisit’ feeling when Jupiter returns to those points both backwards in the retrograde and then forwards again in 2027 once Jupiter is direct. Jupiter stations on April 11th and moves forward again on April 13th 2027 which would be a good day to travel and to set your big plans in motion again.
4: Jupiter in Leo People
As could be expected there are a lot of well-known performers who have Jupiter in Leo. We might expect them to be dazzling performers. These include Buster Keaton, Bette Davis, Peter O’Toole, Federico Fellini, Elisabeth Taylor, Yul Brynner, Diana Ross, George Lucas, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Whoopi Goldberg.
The list also includes some very interesting characters: Rudolph Steiner, Lou Andreas Salome, Joni Mitchell, Catherine Deneuve, Donald Neale Walsh, Nicole Kidman, Gary Glitter and Ben Kingsley.

Peter O’Toole and Elisabeth Taylor certainly had dazzling blue eyes that the camera adored -a massive plus point for any actor to win over the public. While the blueness is not particularly associated with Leo, they do sometimes, as Leo sun sign often have expressive eyes radiating warmth.
Actor Yul Brynner more or less did the same with his bald head and smouldering stare. He was Cancer sun sign but with Jupiter in Leo some might say he overacted the role of the King of Siam in the musical film The King and I (1956) that it was over the top. But he set the record for the number of times he played King Mongkut in the Broadway musical- 4, 650 times which is difficult to top.
Film director, George Lucas exemplifies epic-style film making. He embedded the ‘hero’s journey into ‘Star Wars’. The idea he from Joseph Campbell was used as a template for the high-stakes action storyline of Star Wars – a very Jupiter in Leo kind of film franchise. The hero is expected to show courage against all the odds. Many films have followed this model ever since.
But we also see the over-the-top-ness of Jupiter in Leo with Federico Fellini’s maximalist style of film making. There is a sense that Fellini never held back a thing. He put it all in.
Then there is the charismatic and exciting stage presence of Diana Ross and Mick Jagger. They are both still performing to this day. Ross just wowed audiences at the Met Gala in New York.
In Jagger’s case with the Sun conjunct Jupiter and Pluto, he is tapped in to the zeitgeist. It is easy to think that Jagger may be a narcissist of sorts, but that is not borne out by any evidence of his balanced and sustained friendships. Sun and Jupiter conjunct is more about authenticity. However, by the number of children – 8- he has fathered with five different women follows the model of an errant Zeus.
In the case of Whoopi Goldberg, she was hilarious in the film Ghost (1990). But more recently she has become excessively opinionated as host of the TV chat show The View. This hints at the shadow side of Jupiter in Leo, the excessive, unstoppable overconfident nature of Jupiter when sucking up the limelight when sometimes toning it down would be more effective. Sure enough her Jupiter there is conjunct Pluto and square to her Sun conjunct Saturn in Scorpio so that is a good deal of turbulence and inner tension to deal with.

But we must return to the amazing life of Beau Brummel (7/6/1788) as a precursor to the the configurations we live under in 2026. He was an intriguing character who lived by his wits and was largely responsible for shifting away from the pseudo-aristocratic French style towards the subdued, tailored cuts of modern menswear. His was a studied understated kind of elegance to do with quality of cut with nothing showy at all. He was widely admired in his day, but also envied and hated as a good friend but also enemy of the Prince Regent who later became King George IV. So his fortunes rose and fell dramatically during his lifetime and he ended up as bankrupt and in a French asylum.
He had a cluster of planets in Gemini and this included Uranus so he aligns to this era very well. In 2026, he would probably be a number one social media Influencer using AI to his advantage so that’s a lesson we can take from him. He also had Pluto in Aquarius so he was his own man, challenging the King, so an uncrowned regal figure in his own right. He dictated style and taste and transforming it for the century that followed. His street smarts served him very well during his peak of fame, but in the end it proved to be too much as he was profligate with money and that damaged his mental health.
Again, we can take heed not to overdo things, keep grounded and balanced during these heady times as wherever there are any weaknesses, the warring energies they can easily knock people off their pedestals to trigger a fall from grace.
