Uranus Enters Gemini, 2026

Uranus in Gemin

Time for an update on the progress of Uranus towards Gemini. It’s literally happening next week.

At around 00.52 am of the early morning April 26th, Uranus enters Gemini for its final journey into the sign of learning and communication.  It will not retrograde back into Taurus but will remain for seven years in Gemini until 2033.

Gemini is really the birth sign of Uranus as it was in Gemini when the planet Uranus was first discovered in 1781 by William Herschel. So, in a sense it is at home here unlike in Taurus.  Mercury and Uranus are both about different types of information and when they converge, information diverges. What will it bring? See the graphic of key words and phrases.

Uranus the planet is a funky so-and-so yet is still visible to the naked eye, albeit sometimes dimly. The planet does not rotate as other planets do but spins like a ball on its side.

Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury- so it speaks as if from one magician on the ground, to another magician who is on a higher dimension. Their connection can inspire ‘genius’ moves and that could reach a pinnacle when Mercury conjuncts Uranus on May 18th. Mercury will then arrive in its own sign of Gemini, so it is very strong. That inspiration and flourishing of new ideas and downloads can empower you to make necessary and even radical changes as it is trine to Pluto in Aquarius and getting supported by depth of understanding the roots of all those ideas.

Mercury rules Gemini emphasising the digital- that’s fingers and toes i.e. the extremities, so is probably the root of such conditions as ‘peripheral neuropathy’ where due to loss of nervous sensitivity, toes and fingers become numb.

Uranus in Gemini

Mercury may seem familiar but also has a slippery and shadowy character. He is a trickster associated with the spirit of the crossroads, Papa Legbo, or the devil where we make choices for good or ill. He is also about writing, teaching and learning and anything ‘double’- arms, legs, eyes and the lungs. If you need to take a breath, then do so. It’s not just to stay alive but to remind us what being alive really feels like.

On the one hand, Uranus is altruistic but with an objective edge, but Mercury, being amoral, is quixotic, with no such high ideals. On the other hand, Mercury is pragmatic more than Uranus whose ideas come from beyond this world. Mercury does doing anything necessary to achieve its goals, often backtracking but practical and effective at talking. So there may be some juggling going on of words, meanings and ideals mingled with the real.

Geodetic Map

On the Geodetic map, from a location point of view,  Uranus is moving through the territory to the East of Iran right now. This is where the 60 line is that marks the zodiac sign from Taurus to Gemini across the world.  Iran has been a huge focus in the news but it could be just the beginning of a new mode of communicating to promote the rising up of the people of Iran and the story of their liberation may be about to begin. There could be a flurry of strategic communications there as it moves into Gemini. But outcomes may not be reliable and may need revising later on. Gradually Uranus will move into the bordering countries of Afghanistan and Pakistan so we have not heard the last of it yet.

This movement into Gemini marks the finale of all the movements of the outer planets into new signs. Pluto went into Aquarius, Saturn and Neptune moved into Aries together. There is a new paradigm in town and Uranus may be the firework celebration of this new era.

The ingress chart which snapshots the moment that Uranus shifts into the new sign has a few interesting placements.  It’s less predictive than the ingress of the Sun into Cardinal signs which tells us the next 3 months, but it can give us a flavour of the coming years while Uranus is here. But a lot can happen in seven years.

Uranus Ingress

Uranus arrives in Gemini conjunct Venus which may prompt a flood of information at this time, as if we are not already stemming the tide of data, much of it phantom. But the information can morph more easily into social media outlets and be welcomed. It can be less rigid, much more fluid than usual due to its link to Sedna which is conjunct Uranus at this zero point. Sedna morphed into multiple sea creatures after having her fingers cut off reframing a difficult situation. So look for the advantages in every new problem that arises.

There is still that Stellium of planets in Aries lingering from the New Moon in Aries of April 17th: Neptune, Saturn, Mars, Mercury and Chiron are all still ruled here by Mars,  giving energy and rive to whatever you are doing. It could also make relationships more intense and emotional. There is a concentrated focus in whichever house it lands in your chart. Mars at least has moved away from Saturn and its conjunction of April 19th. So the tension can ease.

Saturn and Neptune are still within orb to be classed as a conjunction- just 5° apart at the moment with Saturn moving away from Neptune allowing Neptune to flourish with less restriction. Neptune distorts reality and Saturn builds it so their role becomes clearer as separate entities.

But the Sun (conjunct asteroid Urania, the muse of astrology) is now in Taurus ruled by Venus so this softens the whole outlook to be less abrasive than earlier in the month. Venus is in Gemini at 2° and when she is ruled by Mercury she’s part of the dynamic conversation. She could be more inclined to  love talk, flirtation through words and jokes, which could help to spark up a few love relationships. There could be lots of texting and sexting back and forth that may be enjoyable but lead nowhere.

The Moon is at the Anaretic degree in Leo, the endpoint, so feelings may be high and ready to express the full funkiness of an ongoing drama – and that may pivot around which narrative is right and which is wrong? Or, whether both or multiple narratives can be true at the same time? It takes release from beliefs for this to make sense and as Aldous Huxley said:

Huxley quote

Pluto in early Aquarius  can also help with breaking up beliefs but also creating new ones for people to become attached to. Pluto is conjunct asteroid Juno and while transformation of relationships and collective groups is on the cards, there’s a deal to be made about commitments, a negotiation of power of the, what to sacrifice, what to maintain as solid. The other asteroid not always considered, Pallas (aka Minerva), is the female military strategist, is at 29° of Pisces the endpoint of the zodiac so finishing up her cycle there. That degree point has been the major focus of the past year so she might have something to say about it too.

On reviewing my article from July 2025, it still stands up well and is worth a re-read. There’s little more to add- but that the AI phenomenon has enveloped us with its formulaic reductive style, yet it has also made rapid improvements in some areas such as Translation. There have been improvements in ‘humanising’ voice recordings on AI-generated videos. The idea is to make the robot sound more human which makes the ‘fake’ seem ever closer to being ‘real’. Google’s AI is even called ‘Gemini’. This was a deliberate choice to emphasise the ‘dual’ twin nature of the platform. It also echoes the programme called ‘Gemini’ that lead to the Apollo Moon landing.

5: Uranus in Gemini for all Signs

Aries – Taurus – Gemini – Cancer – Leo – Virgo

Libra – Scorpio – Sagittarius – Capricorn – Aquarius – Pisces

But which house Uranus appears crystallises in which area of life manifests for you.  It’s where the sign of Gemini occupies that segment of your chart. So for example, if Gemini is in your 10th House, it may bring restlessness and disruptions to your career which is probably already about business and communication. You might get the ‘itch’ to change. If it is in the 12th you may find it harder to rest and go in retreat. Stillness is more challenging and you may suffer insomnia or even OBEs during sleep. If Gemini occupies the 6th House  for example it suggests the need for greater experimentation with healing modalities, using body meridians, doing breathwork and using accu-pressure  on the nerves.

If you are a Gemini Sun sign, then get ready to host the cranky genius that is Uranus into your home house. This is the most most eccentric of planets, even its shape is wonky.  If it’s in your First House, then it’s time for a change of appearance. Be aware that Uranus will oppose any planets you have in Sagittarius and square those in Virgo and Pisces. While this is a seven year journey, it will eventually conjunct your Sun whichever degree that lies in your chart.

Also,  if your Uranus or Mercury are conjunct, opposite, square or sextile and this adds another layer of interpretation. Check where they are in your natal chart and take note.

There is a strong initiatory energy at the zero degree of a Mutable sign. We are set for a heady time of movement and change, going ever rapidly. The dazzle of Uranian downloads sparking up our minds and interactions can become more normalised and its revolutionary manner of communicating can improve the way we exchange information, read, learn, travel and do business. We may need to get plugged in and wired up in readiness.
